Include all ages. It's not just the young making waves!
Some really great ideas are out there regardless of the age of the farmer.

List restaurants employing same principles such as Fresh Local in Newington NH.
Fresh Local chef/owners raise happy chickens for eggs; compost all food scraps the chickens don't eat; grow what they can for use in the restaurant, buy from neighbor farmers; are in the process of setting up to raise rabbits for healthy, local meat option; use local meat when available.

Include the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the map.
It is amazing how many maps miss this portion of the state.

Connect willing landowners with those who would like to grow things but don't have access to dirt!
We own some plantable land and know of much more available, but don't have the time or resources to do it ourselves. We would buy the product or help to sell it. How do we landowners connect with people willing to do the dirt work?

Colorblindness
My friend who is colorblind can't distinguish the red, green and magenta on your map. Use dark/light or yellow, dark blue colors etc.

Include farmworkers/wwoofers - those who don't have land but are still passionate about farming.
The nature of agriculture is that it often depends on seasonal/temporary labor. There is an unseen army of food activists who make a difference by helping farmers who can't afford to hire staff but wouldn't survive without an extra pair of hands in the growing season. I love this site, and would be interested to see it expand by including some sort of social network for farm workers, where they can share their experiences working on different farms and network to find employment for the next season.
